Terms of service

Plain-language terms for website work by Glass Paper Studio. They exist so both sides know what was agreed before any money changes hands.

1. Who these terms are with

Services are provided by Glass Paper Studio LLC, a Florida limited liability company, working in Southwest Florida. "We" means the studio; "you" means the client.

2. The free preview

We may build a working preview of a website for your business at no cost and with no obligation. The preview stays our property until you start hosting with us. If you decide not to go ahead, nothing is owed and the preview link is taken down.

3. The launch offer

For our first 10 clients, the website build (a new site or a redesign of your current one) is free. In return, you host the site with us at $30 a month. There is no setup fee and no contract.

• What's included: up to five pages (typically home, services, about, reviews and contact), design, written copy, your photos or licensed stock photos, mobile layout, a contact form with auto-reply, Google tracking set up, connecting your domain, and launch.
• Two rounds of changes are included after the preview. A round is one set of changes sent in a single message.

Extra pages are $75 each. Work outside this scope is quoted in writing and approved by you before it starts. After the first 10 clients, the build price returns to $300.

4. Hosting

Hosting is $30 a month and covers hosting, security, backups, the contact form auto-reply, and up to two small text or photo changes a month, normally done within one business day. Larger changes are quoted first.

The price never goes up. The monthly price you sign up at is the price you pay for as long as you host with us. We will not raise it.

5. Payment

You pay nothing until you've seen the finished site and approved it. Your first $30 hosting payment is what puts the site live. Hosting is billed monthly by card through Stripe.

6. Cancelling

You can cancel hosting at any time by email. Hosting runs to the end of the month you've paid for, then the site comes down. There are no cancellation fees.

If you'd like to keep the site and host it somewhere else, you can buy the site files for $200. We'll send you everything needed to move it.

7. Your domain

Your domain name is always yours. We never buy or hold it. It stays in your own account, in your name, and you pay its yearly renewal directly. We just connect it to your site. If you cancel, it stays with you.

8. What you provide

You supply your business details, services, hours, contact information and any photos or logos you want used, and you confirm you have the right to use them. We are not responsible for content you supply.

9. Timing

Most sites go live within a week of preview approval, as long as we have what we need from you. These are good-faith estimates, not guarantees; delays in content or feedback move the date.

10. Ownership

While you host with us, the site is ours and licensed to you. If you buy the files, the site and its content become yours. Your domain is yours regardless. We may show the finished site as an example of our work unless you ask us not to.

11. Communication

Projects are run by email so both sides have a written record. We aim to reply within one business day.

12. Limits

We build sites carefully but cannot guarantee particular business results, search rankings, or uninterrupted availability of third-party services such as hosting, domain registrars or email providers. Our liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the amount you have paid us.

13. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The version that applies is the one published when your project was agreed, and the date at the top shows when this page last changed.
